haiñ aur bhī duniyā meñ suḳhan-var bahut achchhe
kahte haiñ ki ‘Ghālib’ kā hai andāz-e-bayāñ aur

Meaning
There are many other very good poets in this world
It’s said, however, that Ghalib has a unique method of rendition
Ghalib talks here of what people say about his work.
While there maybe many excellent poets around, Ghalib is unique. His choice of topics, style of rendition, his complex imagery is very different from what goes in the name of Urdu poetry.
Was Ghalib, then, indulging in self-praise?
We will get our answer when we remember how he cuts himself to size while acknowledging the genius of the great ‘Miir’in another couplet:
Rekhte ke tumhin ustad nahin ho Ghalib
Kehte hain agle zamane mein koi ‘Miir’ bhi tha.
Hence, one is prompted to accept his ‘andaz-e- bayan aur’ talk as a realistic self-appraisal rather than self-praise
It’s very important one genius recognises the genius of another. But it’s equally important she/he recognises the genius within herself / himself, so it’s nurtured and preserved.
