करने गए थे उस से तग़ाफ़ुल का हम गिला
की एक ही निगाह कि बस ख़ाक हो गए

Meaning
I had gone to complain to him/her about the indifference shown to me,
He/she just gave me a glance and I was reduced to ashes
Explanation/Comment:
Fortunate are those who experience such a disarming charm of someone.
You go to make a complaint that someone is indifferent towards you. That someone maybe a person in power, or someone whom you secretly love. And that person just gives you a look.
That look is so charming, so disarming, that you forget your complaint and fall more in love, or just remain charmed and tongue-tied
Such is the charisma of some people.
Amongst earlier political leaders, Madam Indira Gandhi was supposed to have this disarming charm.
What a beautiful ‘sher’ describing a beautiful phenomenon.
